Reading the email regarding Darrell reminded me of a trip that my family and I were making to Ky for the Thanksgiving holidays. We had taken off from RIC and after the normal comments by the Captain, Darrell came on the PA and said I would like to call your attention to the two ladies working in the back of the aircraft.

He said as you probably know that PAI is known for picking people who are oustanding in their field. That is exactly where we found them. Out standing in a field.

Needless to say, this brought muich laughter from the passengers.

The SAN CLT flts I remember (circa 1988), came in just as I arrived at work early in the morning around 6:00 or 6:30am thereabouts.
I remember this because it felt strange to see passengers walking thru C concourse that early in the morning before we had our first cup of coffee.
It was called a red eye flight and from the looks of the passengers, one could clearly see why.
The aircraft used on this leg of the flts was the new 737-400 we had just recently taken delivery of. The name on the aircraft was PIEDMONT!
Silver fuse w red and burgandy/maroon stripes/tape.
People who were actually there remember it best.
Timetables don't have eyes nor memories.

Marc:

Our server crashed about two years ago and we lost most of the web site so it had to be rebuilt. Our webmaster has accomplished the majority of the rebuilt but some things still remain, one of which is the Fleet Guide. It has a lot of data and our webmaster works on things part time but we hope to have it back sometime soon.

Fortunately, I copied all the web pages of the fleet guide to work on a project to add additional detail but that's a work in progress. If you want copies of the old web pages, I can email them to you. They're in PDF format.

Let me know. My email is BobReed@jetpiedmont.com or PiedmontHistory@aol.com.
