AIRCRAFT/ARTIFACT DONATION NEEDED• The Virginia Museum of Transportation located in Roanoke, Virginia (ROA) is a 501C3 nonprofit Museum. We are currently developing our aviation gallery to feature air carriers that have served the Roanoke area. Piedmont was the dominant carrier in Roanoke for decades and deserves a prominent tribute. We are seeking artifacts for permanent display to capture the growth of commercial avaition for our area. Since we are somewhat space limited on the size of aircraft, we are also looking for an aircraft cockpit. If you can assist, please call the Museum at 540-342-5670 or 540-767-4647 • Contact Christopher McBride, Director of Restoration - located Roanoke, VA USA • Telephone: 540-342-5670 or info@vmt.org.

Christopher, a belated thank you for your post.

You may want to contact Bob Reed, Curator of the PAHS. He is probably the first point of contact for something like you are requesting. I have listed the appropriate contact info below:

Mailing Address:
Piedmont Aviation Historical Society
PO Box 25864
Winston Salem, NC 27114

Office Address:
Piedmont Aviation Historical Society
RBC Centura Bank Building
2150 Country Club Road, Suite 235
Winston-Salem, NC 27104

Tel: 336.747.0828
Fax: 336.765.1248

Also, Mr. Ronald Macklin is a JETPIEDMONT.com Forum Moderator and looks after a lot of the aircraft/technical posts. He is a good resource for that sort of information. You can email him at rmacact39@aol.com and I would also encourage you to look over the Aircraft Trivia message forum at [www.jetpiedmont.com]

The PAHS has just released PIEDMONT: Flight of the Pacemaker. It is a wonderful book about the complete history of Piedmont. This would be a must-have for your collection. You can obtain info from Bob at the address above.

Good hunting, and please keep JETPIEDMONT.com updated on your progress and the museum as it develops.
