I remember when Piedmont got it's first F28s.
We started with F28-1000s and then got F28-4000s new.
We inherited alot of F28-4000s from Empire after that.
The F28s were alot of fun to fly. TRI had alot of them on the ORD and ATL routes.
One of my favorite things to do back then was take the early morning flight from TRI - ORD and then ride the same aircraft back ORD-LEX-TRI.
F28s eventually were mostly Florida Shuttle aircraft.
The F28 was a great little jet. Then USAir got the F100s in the early 1990s.
I really liked the F100s. It's a shame that they are all parked in the desert now.
I have cleaned alot of the F28s in my time.
737s and 727s too.
Those memories will live forever.
Sometimes, you don't know you are living history till it's all over.
