Snowed in at CLT in 1987

Does anyone else remember staying all night at CLT while the airport was closed and full of passengers? My group on D Concourse stayed all night, worked the next morning shift, went home for a couple of hours for a short sleep then came back to work the evening shift the same day.
I don't recall being much more tired than that over the years.
If you were there, please post a comment here.
I don't know how many of my CLT co-workers are logged in here.

I remember it, as I was the late-night ramp supervisir on duty. Turns out, many of us had to stay due to ice/snow on roads made driving hazardous. Many slept in the airplanes and anywhere it was warm. Made for a good story but I would not ever want to do it again.

I remember it well. I don't remember how much it snowed, but the cushmen were having trouble getting around the ramp. We had our hands full trying to keep the F-28s APUs running so the plumbing wouldn't freeze. I took several rolls of film on 2nd shift. One is of Nancy Davis w/engine inlets full of snow. I think they declared a maintenance emergency and required us to stay over because so many people couldn't make it in for 3rd shift. Quite an adventure!

The effects of the storm were felt across the PI system, including LAX, where I was working. I had actually bid to work ramp that shift bid, but with the 767 to CLT cancelled, I didn't get off that easy. The manager had me go up to the gate and help rebook that planeload of people. My fellow rampers who did not know pax service spent the rest of the morning munching down Aladin trays of food from the cancelled flight. They did save me one for me when I was done rebooking. I hadn't thought about that day in years!
