Charles "Charlie" Gillespie passed away sometime around September 1 2015 as the result of a heart attack The information that I received from Brian Haynes , retired station agent from AVL is that Charlies daughter returned from Texas and and handled his funeral arrangements but did not know how to contact any of his Piedmont friends. He was cremated and buried in the Gillespie Family Cemetery .He spent his entire career with Piedmont working at the AVL station. He was well known to flight crews as well as his fellow station agents for his skill and ability to to work and excellent set of weight and balance forms under the worst of conditions .It was common-place for him to complete three sets of Piedmont forms, one of United and one of Delta all within a 30 minute period .Charlie was a good matured , loyal employee and an avid fisherman . I feel honored to have worked with him and shared his friendship .
