VAN DUSER Mr. Peter Durk Van Duser, 65, of Clemmons died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born March 2, 1935, in Buffalo, N.Y. to the late Charles E. and Edna Durk Van Duser. Mr. Van Duser graduated from the University of New York. He was the director of dining and cabin services with Piedmont Airlines from 1974 to 1989 and then with US Airways until retirement. Mr. Van Duser was very active in his community and was president of the N.C. Bluebird Society. He is survived by his wife, Rita Cawley Van Duser of the home; three sons, Charles E. Van Duser III of Kansas City, Mo., John D. Van Duser and wife Yvonne of Spangdahlem, Germany, and Andrew P. Van Duser of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Catherine E. Johnston and husband Eric of King; a stepson, Craig A. Fishel and wife Amy of Winston-Salem; a stepdaughter, Jennifer N. Fishel of Wilmington; granddaughters Elise Johnston of King, Abby Van Duser and Sara Van Duser of Spangdahlem; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles R. and Janet West of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
