Roger Guy Garland, 41, 1103 King Springs Road, Johnson City, died here Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Garland was a lifelong resident of Johnson City and a son of Marjorie Tabor Garland, Johnson City, and the late H.H. Garland. He was a graduate of Science Hill High School and East Tennessee State University. Mr. Garland had been employed by US Airways for 16 years. He was a Baptist. Mr. Garland was a member of the Johnson City Masonic Lodge No. 486. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include one aunt, Edna Street, Johnson City; and several cousins.

The graveside service for Roger Guy Garland, age 41, 1103 King Springs Road, Johnson City, who died Tuesday after a lengthy illness, will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Monte Vista Burial Park. Dr. Michael Oaks and Rev. Scott Thompson will officiate. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
