Ted Farrington Jr.

BLUEFIELD - Ted Farrington Jr., of P.O. Box 1204 (Brushfork), Bluefield, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.

Born on May 14, 1931, in Ashland, he was a son of the late Ted and Gertrude Arnold Farrington.
He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Azores and retired from Piedmont Airlines-US Air. He was a member of the Princeton Moose Lodge No. 1521, earned his Fellowship Degree and was secretary of the Moose Legion- Mercer Legion No. 136. He was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nicole Elaine.

Survivors include: Elaine and son Clifton W. of the home; daughter: Rebecca Petry and husband Randy of Athens.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Chaplain Phil Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where Allen Green, Willie Havens, DC Thomas, Allen Dale, Freddie Freeman, and Dave Ragan will serve as pallbearers. John Heath and Hollis Tabor will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Friends may call today from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the Farrington family.
