I was a flight attendant for 10 years flying with Vernon and based out of Washington D.C. He was one of the first Captains that I ever flew with. On one of my first lay-overs in Atlanta, Captain Brunelle took a bunch of us out for dinner at "My Brother's Place". I remember that he insisted that I order as my first ever cocktail a "Golden Cadillac". As a very naive 20 year-old, I thought Captain Brunelle was the most sophisticated man in the world! At any rate, I will always remember him as a "class act" and a Captain that I was always proud to walk beside. He always looked immaculate! Most importantly, he was a great pilot. We always felt safe in the back when he was the man up front.
