Mary Beth Mclean - Daughter Capt C.D. McLean
Date: October 14, 2005 02:15PM
Ladies and Gentlemen,
This was sent to me this evening by retired F/A Pauline Thomas. For many years Capt. McLean was with Piedmont. He went to Continental shortly after Gordon Bethune became CEO, and retired from Continental about a year ago.
How terribly sad this must be for him.
The 'Steph' who signed the email is Capt. Stephanie Hamilton, President of the Piedmont Silver Eagles.
Pam Horton (retired F/A)
Dear Piedmont Silver Eagles,
Mary Beth McLean died today, daughter of Capt. C.D. McLean. They think it
was an aneurism. She was 36 years old. We've known her since she was 12.
You know something? Mrs. Ann McLean (deceased) was the best person to tell me in Newnan, GA, to prune these kids when they're little, it's just like a weed. Well, we went on to prune two weeds, a son and daughter, horses and all for daughter, she became number one in the State of North Carolina last year/children's/adult jumpers, simply because of Mary Beth and Emilie's belief's.
It's a coincidence, but Mary Beth taught at the school that Emilie attends,
St. Andrews Presbyterian College, Laurinburg, NC.
I'll get back with you tomorrow on funeral arrangements for Mary Beth.
We'll be attending the funeral probably on Sunday or Monday, and we'll go on to the Reunion, for now it's thankfully Capt. Paul Snell is handling the
Reunion. Capt. Beeson is handling the Capt. Bob Aiken funeral on Sunday and will be at Mary Beth's funeral, she was just like a daughter to them, too.
(Captain Stephanie Hamilton)
