Piedmont DC-3 N51V

Piedmont DC-3 N51V Yadkin Valley Pacemaker is now on display at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, England. This airplane participated in the Normandy landing and the airborne assaults on Holland.
It was purchased on August 15, 1953 by Piedmont. On April 30, 1962 it was traded to Charlottle Aircraft and went to the Spanish Air Force on May 5, 1962. It operated there until January 26, 1977. It was used in the film "Airline".
It is now hung from the ceiling at Duxford and has been painted as it was in 1944 during the Normandy invasion.
